Social Determinants of Health: Implications for the Faith Community

Sponsored by the FaithHealth Division of Wake Forest Baptist Health

November 18 at 10am — 11am

This session has already taken place. You can watch it in the video above.

Join us for a free video conversation with Dr. Alain Bertoni an Epidemiologist and General Internal Medicine physician at Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Our conversation will focus on how social factors can profoundly impact the health of individuals, and in turn the communities they live in and serve. Better understanding of social determinants of health by Faith Community leaders may lead to novel approaches to improve health.

Dr. Bertoni is originally from New York City, and trained at Johns Hopkins Schools of Medicine (MD) and Public Health (Masters of Public Health) as well as Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has been at Wake Forest School of Medicine for the past 19 years and conducts research focusing on diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

This is a free event, but registration is required and participation is limited to the first 100 registrants.

This event is provided by the FaithHealth Division of Wake Forest Baptist Health, including CareNet, Inc., and the Center for Congregational Health.
