4th Annual MACHE Bowl focuses on diabetes

The Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity (MACHE) is holding the 4th annual interdisciplinary student health care competition on March 19, 2016. Students from Appalachian State University, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Wake Forest School of Medicine, Wake Forest University and Winston-Salem State University, collaborate to address a health care case in front of a live audience.

The Keynote Speaker is Cornell P. Wright, MPA, Executive Director of the North Carolina Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities.

This year’s case focuses on Diabetes

Come and participate in an interactive audience experience in which three teams from five local universities compete live to address a health care case.

  • Think, how can we improve patient care and public health?
  • Learn to apply diverse skills to address health issues in our community
  • Network with colleagues and professionals working to address health inequities in diabetes

March 19, 2016, 10 am – 2 pm. (with Networking hours: 9-10 am and 2-3 pm)

Wake Forest Biotech Place Atrium, 575 N. Patterson Ave., Winston Salem.

Lunch is provided and limited free parking available
