Share the Health Fair

Saturday, January 13, 10 am to 4 pm

Downtown Health Plaza

Free screenings and other health-related services will be available to the public on Saturday, at the 20th annual Share the Health Fair. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Downtown Health Plaza, 1200 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive at Wake Forest Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem. Registration closes at 3 pm.

Family-medicine physicians and specialists will be present along with medical students, physician-assistant students, technicians and other health care professionals. Spanish-language interpreters will also be in attendance.

Available Health Screenings Include:

General Health Screenings:

  • Blood Pressure Screening
  • STI & HIV Screening
  • Bone Density Screening
  • Blood Glucose Testing
  • Total Cholesterol Panels
  • Vision Screening

Specialty Screenings:

  • Dermatology Screening
  • Lung Function Screening
  • Glaucoma Screening
  • Audiology Screening
  • Dental Screening

Diet, Exercise and Wellness Screenings:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) Screening

Physical Therapy:

  • Balance
  • Flexibility
  • Strength Screening

Mental Health:

  • Screenings
  • Consults

Smoking Cessation Consult

Exercise/Back Station

 

What If Health Issues Are Found?

Individuals who are found to have health issues that require further attention will be given referrals and information about what steps to take.

Who Can Attend the Share The Health Fair?

The fair is open to adults regardless of age, insurance coverage, income level and/or immigration status. Childcare will be provided.
